Yummy I got special permission to post this recipe to my blog, so everyone should be cool now! Haha. Without a doubt, this is the best apple pie you have ever had. Period.

A delicious apple pie is served at the best restaurant in Rococo’s Steakhouse in southern Utah. I’m sure you’ve heard me talk before. I worked there all over high school and the owner, the Sullivan family, has been a friend of my family for a long time.

Like most apple pie, cubed apples are not cut, but cut with a cheese grater. It makes every mouth soft and almost melts in your mouth. We heat each piece of food and sprinkle it with caramel sauce and 1 tablespoon of vanilla ice cream on the side. ! unbelievable

Chopped apple pie is one of the most popular desserts out there. I say “over there” because Rococo sits on top of a black hill overlooking our beautiful city. The scenery is great, especially at night when all the city lights are on. Customers always ask about a table beside the window so they can enjoy the view while eating. There are many reasons why I miss this place, but I still feel so sad that it is closed.

  • 1¼ cup of sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter, softened
  • Two tablespoons of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 delicious red medium apples, peeled and grated (grated with grated cheese)
  • 1 deep non-frozen dried pie (love to use Marie Callenders deep frozen pie crust)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, beat sugar, butter, flour, vanilla, cinnamon, salt and eggs with a medium speed electric mixer. Defeat until combined.
  3. Chopped apples. Pour the mixture into uncooked pie shells. Place the cookie on a large cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for 65 to 70 minutes. (You may need to cover the top of the cake with a piece and chips during the last 10 minutes of baking to avoid burning the top. This is what I was doing).
  5. Carefully remove it from the oven. Allow the cake to cool and solidify an hour before serving.
  6. Served with 1 tablespoon of vanilla ice cream and rainy caramel sauce. Please enjoy!
